Following recent production scale-up and in preparation for our new flagship plant, we are offering an internship opportunity for a motivated student to engage in a hands-on biorefinery project.
Start with the production and end your journey with the customer – find out the best taste and functionality and give it to them.
The 4 Tracks of Our Project
Track 3 - Use
Use the produced ingredients in real cooking recipes and help in development of the recipes.
Goal: Identify market opportunities, evaluate substitution potential and added value. Check performance in real culinary applications.
Track 2 - Characterize
Analyze samples from Track 1 to assess application-relevant properties.
Goal: identify properties and functionalities and define product specifications.
Track 4 - Market
Collect and analyze market data and help with tasting sessions and record results.
Goal: Get insights from the market for real taste / user experience. Report the findings with a conclusion of each ingredient / application.
Track 1 - Produce
Work with pilot-scale equipment using various feedstocks (e.g. onions, carrots, seaweed).
Goal: Optimize equipment usage and develop a clear operational protocol.
A Deep Dive into Innovation and Excellence
The student will be supervised by a member of our R&D team and will collaborate closely with Operations and Applications colleagues.

Your competenties
Self-sufficient, interested in different aspects of food production, capable to execute technical tasks (from machinery operations to cooking), able to work with different people and in different environments, fluent in English, able to travel between den Bosch and Helmond.
